Spiritual Direction
Spiritual Direction is an ancient practice being renewed in our time. As a ministry it is designed to help people deepen their relationship with God, learning to recognize God’s activity in the everyday circumstances of our lives, and becoming more open to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and transformation.
Spiritual Direction Is
- A prayerful space to explore your relationship with God
- A time for reflection on life’s experiences
- A place to be real about the hard questions of faith
- An opportunity to grow in your awareness of God’s presence

Spiritual Direction is not therapy, coaching, teaching, or mentoring. Spiritual Direction is truly spiritual companionship, with the Holy Spirit as the true director. The Spiritual Exercises are an extended meditation on the life of Christ from the scriptures, developed by Ignatius of Loyola. Along with the Examen Prayer, they are profoundly formational resources in the life of a disciple of Jesus.
If you desire someone to walk beside you as a co-listener for God’s presence and to assist you in deepening your awareness of the Spirit in daily life, then Spiritual Direction may be for you.
